I used to say that even though you could find things that bloom all winter here in California, you should take a break. But now that Don and I are growing cut flowers, we have to plan and plant ahead of time, and that made for a busy January! Unfortunately that work wasn't photogenic, so this post will have pictures of things that will bloom later, in spring and summer.
Top row: Daphne in bloom, rose before pruning
Row 2: First daffodils, my painting of winter pears
Row 3: Pots of narcissus, Iceland poppies in bloom, tulips coming up in our parking strip
Row 4: Seedlings in our greenhouse, ranunculus coming up
